As part of its activities to celebrate Barbados’ 57th Anniversary of Independence and 2nd Anniversary of its status as a Parliamentary Republic, the National Library Service (NLS) will hold an appreciation ceremony for Cultural Ambassador Dr. The Most Honourable Anthony ‘Gabby’ Carter, on Monday, November 27.
The event, which is in honour of Ambassador Carter’s donation of a selection of his manuscripts and memorabilia to the library, will be held at the headquarters of the library, Fairchild Street, Bridgetown, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
