Reports reaching CARIBPIX.NET of former PM Owen Arthur is in a stable but still serious condition after being admitted to the Qeeen Elizabeth Hospital with heart complications.

The title of Professor at the Cave Hill campus has been conferred on him and he recently took over as Chairman of the failing LIAT Airline.

Former Barbadian Prime Minister Owen Arthur is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after suffering a heart attack on Wednesday night.

According to media reports out of Barbados, Arthur is in stable condition at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Arthur, who was the country’s longest-serving Prime Minister, retired from public life in 1998. Earlier this year, he was appointed Chairman of the financially-strapped LIAT airline.
Arthur was the Head of the Commonwealth Observer Mission to Guyana for the March 2, 2020 General and Regional Elections. ( AS REPORTED IN THE GUYANA TIMES )
