Two more passengers who arrived on an Air Canada flight into Barbados last Sunday have tested positive for COVID-19, after undergoing a second test yesterday.
They are the mother and brother of the 10-year-old, who was diagnosed on arrival at the Grantley Adams International Airport. They are all in isolation at Harrison Point, St. Lucy.
The 38-year-old woman and 14-year-old boy, who were in quarantine since testing negative a week ago, were among passengers retested yesterday. Others will be retested today.
The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory returned 106 test results yesterday. All the others were negative.
Barbados now has on record 108 confirmed cases of COVID-19, and of these, 94 have recovered and seven have died. Seven people are in isolation. The public health laboratory has completed 10,140 tests.
