Toni Moore Sworn In as the Newly Elected Member of Parliament for the Constituency of St.George North by Acting Governor General Sir Kenneth Hewitt.
Moore who is also the general secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union in speaking to the Press after the short ceremony at Government House that she would be working hard to uplift workers and families in Barbados.
She was able to triumph over five challengers in last Wednesday’s ( November 11 ) by-election becoming the first woman to represent the rural constituency.
