BARBADOS: 1 New Case, 10 Discharged

One new positive case of COVID-19 – a male – was diagnosed on Sunday, May 16, from the 276 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

Ten people recovered from the viral illness and were discharged. And, there are currently 86 persons in isolation.

Barbados has recorded 3,968 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,917 females and 2,051 males) since the start of the pandemic in March 2020. There have been 3,932 recoveries, while 46 people have succumbed to the virus.

The public health laboratory has conducted 163,093 tests since February, last year. The National Vaccination Programme has seen 75,956 people immunised against COVID-19 (first and second doses). This figure includes 43,867 persons who have been fully vaccinated during the second phase of the programme.

COVID-19 Update: 2 New Cases, 5 Discharged

The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory recorded two new positive cases of COVID-19 – one male and one female – on Saturday, May 15, from the 373 tests conducted.

Five people recovered from the virus and were discharged, while 88 persons remain in isolation.

Since March 2020, confirmed COVID-19 cases have moved to 3,967 (1,917 females and 2,050 males).  There have been 3,922 recoveries, and 46 people have died.

To date, the public health laboratory has conducted 162,817 tests. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 75,920 people have been immunised (first and second doses). Of these, 42,904 persons have been fully vaccinated during the second phase of the programme.

COVID-19 Update: 4 New Cases, 1 Discharged

There were four new positive cases of COVID-19 – one female and three males – reported for Friday, May 14, while one person recovered and was discharged from isolation.

The cases were identified from the 609 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The number of persons currently in isolation is 89.

Since March 2020, there have been 3,965 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,916 females and 2,049 males) and 3,917 recoveries.  Forty-six people have died from the virus.

The public health laboratory has conducted 162,444 tests. As part of the National Vaccination Programme, 75,918 people have been vaccinated (first and second doses). This number includes 42,645 persons who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 during the second phase of the programme.
