Three new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Monday, April 26, from the 300 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The new cases comprise one male and two females. There were also four recoveries, while 101 people are in isolation.

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 since March 2020 is 3,831 (1,867 females and 1,964 males) and there have been 3,750 recoveries.  COVID-19 has claimed 44 lives.

The public health laboratory has conducted 152,399 tests since February last year. There have been 73,667 vaccinations – 30,412 men and 43,255 women – administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19.

COVID-19 Update: 3 New Cases, 11 Discharged

Eleven people were discharged from isolation on Sunday, April 25, while three new positive cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.

The cases, two males and one female, were identified from the 296 tests conducted. Presently, 102 persons remain in isolation.

To date, Barbados has recorded 3,828 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (1,865 females and 1,963 males) while there have been 3,746 recoveries.  Forty-four people have died from the virus.

A total of 152,099 tests have been carried out by the public health laboratory. Under the National Vaccination Programme, 73,590 vaccinations – 30,375 men and 43,215 women – have been administered.
