The Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory has recorded 11 new COVID-19 cases – five females and six males. Tests carried out on Friday, July 30 numbered 1,440.

There are currently 113 people in isolation.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 4,390 confirmed cases of COVID-19 (2,133 females and 2,257 males). Forty-eight people have died from the virus.

The Laboratory has conducted 217,703 tests since February 2020. Public health officials have administered 99,695 first doses of the COVID-19 vaccines as part of the National Vaccination Programme. A total of 76,247 persons have received second doses and are fully vaccinated. These individuals represent 28.1 per cent of the population.

COVID-19 Update: 14 New Cases, 133 Insolation

Six men and eight women have been identified as COVID-19 positive by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory. The facility conducted 1,233 tests on Thursday, July 29. There are 133 persons in isolation.

Since March 2020, Barbados has recorded 4,379 confirmed cases of the viral illness (2,128 females, 2,251 males) and 48 deaths. The laboratory has carried out 216,263 tests to date.

So far, 99,544 first doses have been administered under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, while 75,779 persons (28 percent of the population) are now fully vaccinated, having received their second dose.
