Family, friends and business associates, paid their respects to Ralph Johnson and fondly recalled him as a champion.

Tributes were also paid by James Johnson, the son of Ralph Johnson. his brother Paul, with whom he operated partnership businesses; former top Olympic sports administrator Steve Stoute and Johnson’s nephew Dean Straker speaking on behalf of Sir Emil Straker of the Merrymen, whom Johnson once managed.
