Restaurants will be allowed to open this Sunday, March 21.
The Emergency Management (COVID-19) (Curfew) (No. 6) Directive, at No. 6 states: “On Sunday the 21st day of March, 2021, only the following nonessential services shall be permitted to open in the manner specified” and at 6(f) it continues: “hotels, villas and other rental accommodation, for the entire day, including restaurants”.
The Directive also states that restaurants are permitted to open “for regular service from Monday to Sunday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. and may only serve alcoholic beverages with meals”.
However, restaurant owners must ensure that there is six feet of separation between tables and set-ups. Fast food restaurants shall open only for drive-through, kerbside pickup and off-site delivery of meals.
