Parents of the Lawrence .T. Gay Memorial School are fed up to see that the environmental issues that we thought were over are far from over. The ministry of Education has dealt with internal issues but the ministry of labour and health are yet to come forward to deal with the external findings that were highlighted in the environmental issues report. A class 4 teacher has been transferred at a critical stage and has left students and parents emotionally overwhelmed and upset. Twenty one teachers were said to be on leave and teachers from Erdiston had to be sent to assist in classrooms. Children have been going home sick everyday. Let’s come together Barbados, let’s reach out and touch our children and fight for a more condusive school environment.
