All appointments for the Ministry of Health and Wellness’ pilot website for booking vaccinations have been filled.
The pilot targeted persons 50 years and over, allowing them to make appointments via www.vaccine.gov.bb to receive their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine on Saturday, April 24, and Sunday, April 25, at specific sites.
The response was overwhelming, with the majority of the time slots filled within the first day of the pilot phase, which started on Wednesday, April 21, and was to run until Friday, April 23. The aim was to test the website for wider use going forward.
Persons who will receive their first dose this weekend are urged to stick to the times of their appointments. This is in an effort to avoid overcrowding and long wait times.
