Forty people, 20 males and 20 females, were diagnosed with COVID-19 on Saturday, July 10, out of the 908 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory.
The number of persons in isolation is 60.
Since March 2020, confirmed COVID-19 cases have reached 4,176 (2,020 females and 2,156 males). There have been 48 deaths from the virus.
The public health laboratory has carried out 194,306 tests since February last year. Under the National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19, 96,175 first doses of the vaccine have been administered.
Additionally, 72,536 people – 29,809 males and 42,727 females – have received second doses, which represent 26.8 per cent of the population.

COVID-19 Update: 8 New Cases, 58 In Isolation

The 1,015 tests conducted by the Best-dos Santos Public Health Laboratory on Friday, July, 9, identified eight new COVID-19 cases – three females and five males. There are currently 58 people in isolation.
Barbados has recorded 4,136 confirmed cases of the virus, 2,000 females and 2,136 males, since March 2020. The viral illness has claimed 48 lives.
The public health laboratory has carried out a total of 193,398 tests. The National Vaccination Programme for COVID-19 has seen 96,174 people receiving first doses of the vaccine. The number of persons who have been administered both doses and are fully vaccinated is 72,329.
