COVID-19 has claimed its 57th victim.

A 73-year-old Guyanese man passed away around 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, while in primary isolation at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility, where he spent six days. The elderly man had a comorbidity and was unvaccinated.            

The Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic, extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Barbados’ COVID-19 Deaths Move To 56

Three more Barbadians have died from COVID-19.

A 97-year-old woman passed away on Wednesday, September 15, after spending four days in isolation. She was unvaccinated.

Two males died today, Thursday, September 16. They are a 51-year-old, who had a co-morbidity, and a 93-year-old, who was in secondary isolation at the Harrison Point Isolation Facility for four days. 

Their vaccination status is unknown.

The number of lives lost to the virus is 56.

The Minister of Health and Wellness, Lieutenant-Colonel Jeffrey Bostic extends condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
