Friday 19th -2024 saw the four 175 foot lighting towers complete with their lights in position. They would illuminate Kensington Oval playing field for World Cup 2024 events and the Finals.
The Kensngton Oval $50 million facelift got its start with replacement of the floodlights well in advance.
Two Massive Cranes owned by Crane and Equiptment Ltd and their staff was on the scene for the final time installing the towers and finally installing the four platform with the lights.
The three-man team assigned to work at that great height completed that task. Use of the cranes was there for the crew there to harness the large set of lights to be hoisted cautiously to the top of each tower during the week.
The Crane and Equiptment Ltd cranes was back there on location as they made certain that the lights that would be the best illumination for the World Cup 2024 Cricket Finals and other earlier Games was there to function well.
