President of Barbados, Her Excellency The Most Honourable Dame Sandra Mason, will be absent from office from Friday, September 16, to Friday, September 23, to attend the State Funeral of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, in London.            

In Her Excellency’s absence, The Very Reverend Dr. Jeffrey Gibson will perform the functions of the Office of President. 

National Flag At Half-Staff For Queen’s Funeral

Members of the public are advised that on Monday, September 19, the day of the funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the National Flag should be flown at half-staff on buildings in Barbados.

In addition, persons are further advised that Monday is not designated as a bank holiday in Barbados.
