Barbados: Viewing of Body of Photojournalist Killed Recently.
Between the hours of 1.30 pm and 6.00 pm today hundreds slowly walked past the open casket bearing the body of Christoff Griffith, the young photojournalist who was brutally murdered while working for the Nation Newspape. He was following up a lead that a man was killed at Bishop’s Court Hill, St Michael, when he was also attacked.
The suspect was caught the same night of the murder through the swift action of the Barbados Police Force and has been remanded to Dodd’s Prison until July 24th 2020.
The viewing at the Mt.Olive Holy Church of America, Grosvenors Road Carrington Village, St.Michael gave Barbadians including the Prime Minister Mia Amour Mottley an early opportunity to pay their respects.
The Funeral will be held tomorrow July 11th at 2 pm at the Garfield Sobers Auditorium in Wildey.

Dwanye Gittens the 35 year old homeless man who was charged for last Monday’s ( the 22nd of June ) double murder was remanded to Dodd’s Prison until July 24, 2020.
Dwayne Gittens is accused of murdering Contract worker Glenroy James and Nation Photojournalist Christoff Griffith on the 22nd of June at Bishop’s Court Hill, St. Michael.
He appeared at the District ‘A’ Magistrates Court before Magistrate Kristy Cuffy-Sergeant where he was not required to plead to the indictable offence.
