A representative group of scholars of The St Michael School paid their final respects to former principal of many years Dame Patricia Symmonds.
They were among the attendees at the the funeral of the late principal who deicated her life to the furtherance of education and the framing of young minds in this country
Others who attended the tribute to the former educator and senator included Dame Patricia”s nephew Peter Symmonds who gave the eulogy, members of parliament and the representative of the Governor General, Aide-de-Camp Major Julia DaBreo
Prime Minister Mia Mottley praised The Dames’ contribution to the Barbados Labour of which she was a staunch member.
The service sermon was delivered by Bishop Derek Richards at the James Street Methodist Church yesterday (19th June, 2020) where Dame Patricia worshiped for many years
