Electric Vehicle Maintenance Personnel Graduate….
With the arrival of 33 electric vehicles added to the Transport Board fleet of buses the need for qualified technicians was given high priority and the Ministry of Transport, Works and Maintenance through the Samuel Jacman Prescod Institute of Technology developed a 30-hour course in Electric Vehicles Maintenance Fundamentals. This course was specially desined for practicioners who perform routine maintenance on electric vehicles (EV’s).
It offered both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to compliment current industry experience and enabled persons to continue to work safely in their respective work enviroments.

The Vote Of thanks and the demostration of the removal of a 400 volt battery that stored the electricity which must be handled with special gloves whilst standing on a special rubber mat. Pictured below.
