BARBADOS Crop Over “Pandemonium” a Big Hit.

The National Botanical Gardens came alive with the sweet, sweet sounds of steel pan today Sunday, July 24. It was non-stop musical action with fun for the whole family, from 2 p.m. as the National Cultural Foundation’s (NCF) first-ever Republic Bank Pandemonium event. This event was the marquee steel pan event for the Crop Over season and was one fans won’t soon forget.

For music lovers, it was an event you would not have wanted to miss stated Karen Pestaina, Festival Events Coordinator at the NCF.

When we say ‘Pandemonium’ we mean it literally! They were two 40-ft mobile stages, as well as a main stage so than the steel pan action was non-stop.

Some of Barbados’ leading musical groups were showcased including the BCC Pan Ensemble, the National Steel Orchestra, the Frederick Smith Secondary School Steel Orchestra and many more.
